Emma is a family law solicitor at Meillon & Bright Legal in Perth.
Emma began her career in family law in 2019, working at a boutique law firm in Queenstown, New Zealand, specialising in family and estate law. That same year, she was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
Following a period working for the New Zealand Government, Emma returned to family law in early 2023. Since then, she has practiced exclusively in this area, representing clients on parenting and property matters, including relocation and complex farming matters.
Emma was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2024 and commenced work as a family solicitor in Perth at the beginning of 2025. She practices across all areas of family law, with a particular interest in relocation matters.
Emma is known for her practical and empathetic approach. She understands the emotional and financial toll that separation and court proceedings can have. With this in mind, Emma works proactively to explore early resolution options wherever possible, with a focus on outcomes that support her clients’ long-term well-being.
Emma has experience appearing in the Family Court of Western Australia, as well as instructing counsel and senior counsel.
Emma is fluent in Spanish and a member of the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of Western Australia.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys practicing yoga and being outdoors.
